5 Edison Firefighters Return After Hurricane Laura Deployment – Patch.com

EDISON, NJ– Five Edison area firefighters who belonged to a New Jersey Task Force 1 (NJ-TF1) deployed to assist in Hurricane Laura efforts, have returned house.

The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management made the statement in their Facebook page, previously today.

Battalion Chief Kevin O'Grady and firefighters Wayne Enoch, Michael Sacchi, William Pellegrino and Robert J Sawicki were part of the job force deployed to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to assist in rescue and recovery efforts.

“Thank you to all the participating companies that have members on the team and all of the volunteers who assisted the team during the deployment. It takes a town and we are extremely grateful,” stated the office of emergency management.

The NJ-TF1 was activated by FEMA Urban Search & & Rescue, in response to Hurricane Laura.
